2D/3D Generalist, Motion Graphics Designer, Artist, Tuna

A highly experimental image generator that produces patterns based on a simple particle system and a transform loop. The system is overall extremely simple, yet the output is often extremely complex.

The patterns were produced using FilterForge and were randomly generated over the course of a day or two during some spare time.

These patterns were then printed on translucent tracing paper giving them an interesting, vibrant, stained-glass style feel. The intent was for it to be used as crafting paper, scrap booking and so on. But the work is also enjoyable on its own.

The sheets are B4 sized, 65g tracing paper which are normally intended for drawing. I tried printing on even thinner sheets but with the printer I had this was the limit. Anything below caused paper jams or ink spillage.

In any case, the photos below show a lot of the pieces I printed on a when-I-could basis. The real joy was being able to hold these to the light and seeing the patterns cascade and beautifully create new patterns. It's frankly very hard photographing them.

In one of the images you can see me just put my hand there. Notice how the translucency really produces a cool effect!
